The Ateneo Center for Educational Development or ACED
provides a systematic, high impact, and visible program of support for the Philippine public school system. The center focuses it's efforts on four major areas of educational development:
- Teacher training and development
- Management development for schools
- Research and development
- Curriculum, textbook, and instructional materials development
ACED has helped, and sustained public schools all over the Philippines, especially in Nueva Ecija and in Quezon City. Aside from it's concentrated aid to these areas, ACED partners with the Dep-Ed and different NGOs and academic departments of the Loyola Schools of the Ateneo de Manila University to bring extensive multi-disciplinary teacher and principal training, as well as curriculum development for hundreds of teachers from all corners of the archipelago.
