One Big Fight

Greetings! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a truly prosperous new year. The purpose of this letter though, is to remind us of something we seem to have forgotten about in the truly dazzling hustle and bustle of the season. I wish to remind you of our less fortunate brethren in Camarin, Caloocan. It is past a month since we have last seen them, and their plea seems to have been forgotten. It has been drowned once more by the lure of so called “Lasallian reality.” We have a responsibility to them. We vowed to help them. Have we forgotten the plans we set to aid them? Have we forgotten the hopeful eyes of our families, as they realize that there are those who care after all? I know that the past month hasn’t been the most pleasant to us, as it was a time to prove our academic worth, but being good students does not excuse us from being good people. Studies merit much in various aspects of life, but the joy of being a good person; a person who shares, a person who gives, a person who sacrifices for others, that joy is eternal, and its fruits are everlasting. We have not asked much of you, just some old newspapers, cans, and some memorabilia which you are willing to give in the name of charity. It is a small price to pay, but the plans which will be set into motion because of what little we ask you to contribute will benefit a great many. All we ask is a little effort. Please donate. Let us all remember that our great alma mater was founded in the memory of a man who gave it all so that others may learn. Yours in the spirit of Charity, Mickey If you have any questions regarding the proposed plan for Camarin, Anjo and Thea are willing to explain . If you have any questions about donations and funding, I, and your group leaders are willing to answer them. On Donating: If you can sell your own scrap materials to a junkyard near you, please do so, and direct the funds to your group leader. If you know not where to bring your scraps, just coordinate with your leaders, or me. I know a few places near LS that would accept your scrap. I am also willing to take your junk out of your hands.
