Penumbra

We are a world apart.

I am moon, and you are sun.

You bask in your endless light. You are wisdom and warmth.

I simply exist to reflect what little I can in times of total darkness.

My only happiness is to be in your prescence.

At the dawn of days, when you rise to shine upon the world, there I am fading at your light. It is at that moment I feel fully blessed. It is when I fade to unuse that I am able to grasp your light for my own, to be able to finally drown in your brilliance. We are together but for the few moments until I fade into you.
